The much anticipated release of “Tiger-3,” starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, via the over-the-top (OTT) platform will also be accessible on Amazon Prime.
The 2023 blockbuster’s release date has not been disclosed by the OTT behemoth, but it did post on X with the caption, “We heard the roars, Tiger is on his way, #Tiger3onPrime, coming soon.”
The movie poster was also revealed by Amazon Prime in the social media post, which delighted and slightly disappointed the fans.
The film, which was produced and directed by Yash Raj Films and Maneesh Sharma, was the production company’s fifth offering in its spy franchise. Ek The Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan are the four earlier films.
Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that Tiger 3 was produced for ₹300 crore and released on November 12, 2023. It made ₹464 crore globally, with ₹339.5 crore coming from India and ₹124.5 crore from elsewhere.
In addition to Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, who played Zoya in the first two prequel films, also stars in the film.
Reactions to the film were divided; while some praised it for its intense action scenes, others pointed out that it handled political subjects in a formulaic way.
‘Tiger 3’ is set to make a big splash when it releases on over-the-top (OTT) platforms, promising viewers an exciting and action-packed experience.
Shah Rukh Khan starred in Yash Raj’s other spy film, which brought in ₹1055 crore, of which ₹657.5 crore came from India and ₹397.5 crore from abroad. After Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, it was the second biggest Hindi film ever made.
